Serpentine

Last weekend, I spent some time hanging out with my family at Te Papa.

Te Papa has a lovely outdoor native bush space, which includes a geological collection of large rocks/huge boulders of varying ages  and types.

It was a wettish day and the serpentine specimen (which is at least twice my size and several million years older than me) was glistening gloriously. I do adore the colours and shading of serpentine:
